Extreme Hardship Waiver
Extreme Hardship waivers (I-601, I-601-A)
A USCIS hardship waiver is a legal process that permits certain individuals—who would normally be barred from entering or remaining in the United States—to request an exception to those inadmissibility grounds. This waiver may be approved if denying the person’s immigration benefit would result in extreme hardship for a qualifying relative who is either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
